We are proud to have our roots in the Chicago neighborhood of Wicker Park, as we are a privately owned, independent diner. Local folks work here. The owner was born and raised in this very neighborhood.

Here at Delish, we know the value of doing things that old fashioned way. Sometimes there is no replacement for good food made with the best ingredients.

Meet Chuck!

Lifelong resident of Chicago, Chuck graduated with the Washburn training class of 1971 with other famous chefs such as Greg Duda of Let Them Eat Cake, Master Chef Mary Sue Millikan of Two Hot Tamales fame, Larry Raymond creator of Sweet Baby Rays BBQ, Jimmy Banos of Heaven on Seven, and. John Meyers of BJ Market.Chuck has been with the Ridgemoor Country Club, worked as the Chef at the Essex Inn and was also the youngest club chef at Mid-Day club in downtown Chicago.Chuck has opened many successful restaurants in Chicago land area for over 15 years. Chucks prior concepts include La Maison in Forest Park in 1977 and Cottage Cupboard in Oak Park in 1980, and Chuck was the managing partner of Chicago Joes on Irving Park. Delish Diner is the culmantion of Chucks vast experience. He comes from the old school and first culinary school in the US. "Whats a Small Plate?" is the Delish Diner motto.
